A warm welcome to Flexifoil
Founded in 1972. Handcrafted in the United KingdomHome of the world's fastest kite design.
The Guinness World Record for the fastest speed attained by a kite is 120mph (193 kph) in Ocean City, Maryland, USA, in 1989. Flexifoil kites of today are still built on the same world-record design lineage. More power, same precision. Handcrafted in the UK, every kite that leaves our workshop is built on over fifty years of refinement.
In 1994, on the beach at Le Touquet, France, a team launched a stack of 293 Flexifoil Stacker kites. The first 10 kites went up. Then the next 10. The power of those already flying pulled the rest into the air. The stack climbed until the kites were barely visible against the clouds — a thread of colour dissolving into the grey French sky.
You can learn more about these and other adventures on the kite pages.
