4-LINES VS. 3-LINES
The main two lines on this trainer kite are used for steering. If you pull the left line, the trainer kite goes left. If you pull the right line, the trainer kite goes right.
Typically, kitesurfing kites have two additional lines that are attached to the trailing edge (rear) of the kite. By pulling the control bar in, you increase power or by pushing the control bar out, you decrease power. Think of these rear lines as your brakes. For ease and simplicity in training, this trainer kite has just one additional line attached to the trailing edge (rear) of the kite. The control bar works in exactly the same way.
As a side note, the lines won't tangle easily so please don't be put off by the number of lines.
