What is KiteStarter?

KiteStarter is how we bring these classic Flexifoil kites back — powered by real demand.

Instead of guessing what will sell, we ask the community.

With just a 25% deposit, you can help make your preferred design a reality.

Each kite design must reach at least 200 reservations to go into production.

Even if a design reaches 200 reservations before the deadline, production will still begin in early September 2025.

If your chosen design doesn't reach at least 200 reservations by 30 November 2025, your deposit is fully refunded.

Zero risk.

What Happens After You Reserve

After the 30 November 2025 deadline, if your kite has reached at least 200 reservations:

  • We begin production setup

  • Begin production

  • Quality control

  • Ship to one of our distribution centres that is nearest to you

  • Final delivery to you

Estimated Delivery

We aim to deliver as soon as possible, but to manage expectations, the maximum delivery timeframe is 12 weeks from the date your kite enters production. We anticipate production will begin in early December 2025.

While we always strive to deliver on time, delays beyond our control (e.g. shipping or supply chain disruptions) may occasionally occur. If they do, we’ll keep you fully informed — just check the orange updates at the top of this page for the latest information.

When Do I Pay the Remaining Balance?

We’ll email you a payment request for the remaining 75% balance within 72 hours prior to dispatch of your kite.

Changed Your Mind?

Cancel any time before your chosen kite hits the minimum 200 reservations — and we’ll refund you in full. Email info@flexifoil.com with your order number.

After a kite reaches at least 200 reservations, the 25% deposit becomes non-refundable.

Why This Method Works

Every Stacker size and colour has a unique manufacturing process.

By confirming demand first, we:

  • Avoid waste and overproduction

  • Keep pricing fair — even on rare colourways

  • Deliver faster and more efficiently

  • Focus only on what the community truly wants

This lets us build better kites, together.

Progress Updates

While we await our new website (which will include real-time progress tracking), we will post weekly updates on the top of this page — from order milestones to production progress and shipping status — will be posted right here.

That way, you can see exactly how close we are to launch — and be part of making it happen.

About This Kite

The Flexifoil Pro-Team 8ft is only 2ft bigger yet generates up to twice the pull of the Stacker 6ft. It offers an excellent compromise of quick response and 'raw' power. This kite can be stacked together with the Stacker 6' and the Super 10'. A favourite with many power kiters around the world.

  • Lightning-fast turns, manageable pull — pure fun even in strong wind

  • Perfect for intermediate, pros, and everyone in between

  • Easy to stack — create your own high-speed flying display

  • Suitable for ages 16+ under adult supervision. When stacking, an adult should test the power of the stack to ensure the 'under 18' is capable of flying it in a controlled and safe manner.

Buying Your First Kite? Start Here.

If this is your first Pro-Team 8, we recommend purchasing it with the ideal line set for 2-kite stack flying:

40m / 130ft – 135 kg / 300lb Flying Line Set + Padded Wrist Straps

This setup is perfect for learning the basics and building confidence on your own.

Thinking About Stacking Later? (See table below for specifications)

If you plan to stack multiple Stacker 8' kites in the future, you’ll need stronger flying lines to handle the extra power.

For example, if you eventually want to fly 5 'Pro-Team 8' kites stacked together, go for:

40m / 130ft – 225kg / 500 lb Flying Line Set

Make sure to choose the right flying line set based on how many kites you plan to stack — now or later. Keep in mind: the stronger the line, the heavier it is. That means it requires more wind and power to fly. So if you're flying just one Pro-Team 8' on lines meant for an 8-kite stack, you'll need significantly stronger winds.

Flying Line Sets and Padded Wrist Straps

To keep things flexible (and more affordable for returning customers), we offer flying line sets and padded wrist straps for control as optional add-ons.

Many fliers already own a set and don’t need duplicates. By offering them separately, you only pay for what you actually need.

If you're new to Flexifoil or kiting in general, we recommend adding a flying line set and padded wrist straps with your first kite so you're ready to fly right out of the bag.

PRO-TEAM 8™ Stacking Specifications

Number of Kites Line Strength (lb) Line Strength (kg)
1 200 lb 90 kg
2 300 lb 135 kg
3 300 lb 135 kg
4 500 lb 225 kg
5 500 lb 225 kg
6 500 lb 225 kg
7 500 lb 225 kg
8 500 lb 225 kg

Power Comparison

Compare the relative pulling power of the Flexifoil Power Kite range:

1 × Super 10 = 3 × Stacker 6

1 × Pro-Team 8 = 2 × Stacker 6

2 × Super 10 = 3 × Pro-Team 8

You can fly Flexifoil Power Kites individually or join them together and build yourself a MONSTER POWER STACK.

You can stack a mix of Flexifoil Stacker 6’s, Pro-Team 8’s and Super 10’s. Always make sure that the larger kites are at the top of the stack and use the line strength stacking specification for the largest kite size. So if you were stacking Stacker 6’s and Pro-Team 8’s, you would use the Pro-Team 8 line strength stacking specification. Or if you were stacking Stacker 6’s, Pro-Team 8’s and Super 10's, you would use the Super 10 line strength stacking specification.

You will find all the recommended kite flying lines in the flying line section of the store.

About Stacker Kites

Launched over 50 years ago, Stackers helped define power kiting.

They’re known for their unmistakable sound, high-speed flight, and legendary ability to stack — giving you the thrill of flying a sky full of kites with one set of lines.

Loved by solo pilots and team flyers alike, Stackers are about joy, challenge, and community.

How to Stack

  1. Start with one kite

  2. Add a second using stacking lines

  3. Build your stack — 3, 6 or more. Always use common sense when stacking kites, particularly when stacking larger kites. Build up one kite at a time and if it feels too powerful, immediately reduce the number of kites in the stack.

  4. Experience the speed, sound, and lift of true aerial performance

Stacking kits and guides will be available separately. It’s simple to set up and incredible to watch.
